Duplex oil strainer
Duplex Oil filters are ideal for duplex fuel oil handling systems and for those applications where the requirement for a continuous supply of oil does not permit interruption of the flow for the routine cleaning of strainer baskets.
However, the duplex strainer is designed with two basket chambers and a flow diverter system that allows the pipeline flow to be switched from one chamber to the other, completely isolating the flow to a single chamber. This makes the duplex strainer ideal for non-interruptible applications that cannot be shut down during routine maintenance and cleaning operations.
Duplex strainers are availabe with various types of connections, materials of construction, gasket composition, closure covers, and screen openings.
They are pressure vessels installed in a pipeline to remove unwanted solids from fluids. Along with a large holding capacity, they can also be used for very fine filtration by including a mesh liner.
